Brides Design Input

I have realised that most of the brides that come to me have either a mother, daughter, or best friend that have a close connection to the fashion design/making industry.

I don’t find this threatening, instead I find it a compliment and confidence building. The situation could be a potential disaster ….With Mother of bride being an authority “you don’t want to do it like that, you want to do it like this.”!! EEK

We all like to think we are an authority on our chosen skill and customers have chosen me with the advice of their skilled dress making Mother/ best friend.

To date I have only said once to a bridesmaids Mother…. “Wow you have so much experience…would you like to work for me!”
(no detection of sarcasm at all!)

At the end of the day when the dress is done and dusted all my brides, Mothers, friends are delighted and are probably breathing a sigh of relief that they didn’t have to make it themselves!
