Avant-Garde, The Alternative to ‘Alternative’
When I put the term ‘alternative’ into google I am bombarded with a stream of black Gothic inspired garments and it appears the goth scene has completely hijacked this term.
I would put my designs into the category of an alternative to the mainstream, but I feel I can no longer use this phrase. Perhaps avant-garde is more suitable!
All Fashion Design should of course be innovative and I hope to prove this with my use of laser cutting and unique combination of texture that I am unlike so many bridal “Designers” out there and I am in fact innovative!’
